AMS color guard to open May 18 memorial Mass at Basilica of the Immaculate Conception
The color guard of the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) will herald the beginning of a memorial Mass, set for Sunday, May 18.
ZEALE NEWS FEED // The color guard of the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) will herald the beginning of a memorial Mass set for Sunday, May 18, at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.
The Mass, which will take place at 4:30 p.m., will honor all who have served or are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, an emailed press release from AMS states. Confessions will be offered from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., with the Rosary at 3:35 p.m. and Vespers at 4 p.m.
AMS Archbishop Timothy Broglio, the president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, will celebrate the Mass and deliver the homily.
EWTN will record the liturgy and air it at 11 a.m. EST on Memorial Day, May 26.
