The United States Department of the Interior paused five off-shore wind farms, interior secretary Doug Burgum announced Dec. 22.
CatholicVote’s senior political adviser Steve Cortes called the decision a “big win for common sense, for energy security, our beautiful ocean vistas, and for economic sanity,” in a Dec 22 video posted to his X account.
The wind farms, he stated in the video, crush marine life and produce negligible amounts of energy.
He also stated that the off-shore wind turbines threaten national security by interfering with the U.S. military’s radar technology that protect the country from incoming threats, such as missiles.
