Season 2 of ‘Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints’ premieres Nov. 16
The first part of the second season of “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints” will begin airing on FOX Nation Nov. 16.

The first part of the second season of “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints” will begin airing on FOX Nation Nov. 16, covering the lives of Saint Patrick, Saint Peter, Saint Thomas Becket, and Saint Carlo Acutis.
“For many years, I dreamed of telling stories of the lives of the saints. It’s been an obsession of mine for as long as I can remember,” Scorsese said, according to a June 11 press release announcing the new season. “So the chance to do this series meant the world to me, and it’s heartening to know that people have responded to it. I’m very excited to be coming back for a second season.”
Each episode focuses on a single saint. Episodes include both dramatizations of key moments from the lives of the saints and comments from experts. Scorsese serves as host, narrator and executive producer of the series.
The season will air in two parts. The first four episodes air on Sundays in November and December, according to an Oct. 30 press release. The second part, covering Saint Paul, Saint Longinus, Saint Lucy, and the Blessed Virgin Mary, will air around Easter 2026, according to the June press release.
This season features an episode on newly canonized St. Carlo Acutis. It airs Dec. 7 and is directed by the executive producer’s daughter, Francesca Scorsese. This is her first contribution to the series and her first directorial collaboration with her father on a series.
While reception to the show’s first season was generally positive, some Catholics have criticized the project’s execution. On Catholic Answers, teacher and writer Sean Fitzpatrick argued that the series had relativistic tendencies, while Thomas Mirus, co-host of Criteria: The Catholic Film Podcast, believed the panels failed to showcase deeply faithful presenters.
“Each episode ends with a brief panel discussion with ‘friends of Martin Scorsese,’” Mirus wrote on Catholic Culture. “There is not a faithful Catholic among them.”
Season one’s first episode can be viewed for free on Roku. Episodes from the second season will be available via FOX Nation beginning in November.
