The Holy Stairs
In Rome, there is a set of 28 marble steps said to have been brought from Jerusalem by St. Helena, mother of the Emperor Constantine. Tradition says Jesus walked these steps during His trial before Pilate. Today, they are a significant site of devotion for pilgrims to the Eternal City.
