DOJ OPINION COULD UNDO DEI POLICIES IN WORKPLACE

Federal workplace discrimination guidelines on so-called “disparate impact” violate the Constitution by pushing employers to make race-based hiring decisions, the Department of Justice said in an opinion released yesterday. Officials said the document will allow businesses to rely more heavily on merit-based employment standards, with many analysts believing it will be the undoing of many “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” (DEI) practices in the workplace.

KARMELO ANTHONY CONVICTED, SENTENCED FOR MURDER OF AUSTIN METCALF

A jury has sentenced Karmelo Anthony to 35 years in prison, hours after finding him guilty of murder for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. The case gained national attention after establishment media and figures on the political left defended the killer amid claims that the victim had been a racist. Anthony had argued the killing was in self-defense.

US RETALIATES AFTER IRANIAN DRONE NEARLY KILLS 2 SERVICE MEN

U.S. forces launched strikes against Iran yesterday after President Donald Trump said Iranian forces shot down a U.S. Army Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz, with CENTCOM describing the strikes as "a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression."
