A ZEALE NEWS REPORT FROM THE CONSECRATION

During Mass for the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus yesterday, Cardinal Raymond Burke consecrated the U.S. to the Sacred Heart, telling those gathered that the fruitfulness of the consecration begins in the home. “There is no greater gift that we can give to our family and our homeland,” he said, “than the gift of our heart, one with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, through the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.”

CATHOLICVOTE, ZEALE LEADERS DISCUSS CONSECRATION

At yesterday's historic event, CatholicVote President Kelsey Reinhardt, Vice President of Advocacy Joshua Mercer, and “The Deep” podcast hostess Erika Ahern joined Zeale News for a discussion on how love of country and the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus are intertwined. CATHOLIC LAWMAKER'S RESOLUTION HONORS SACRED HEART

Republican Rep. Riley Moore of West Virginia, a Catholic, introduced a House resolution yesterday in honor of the solemnity and the U.S. bishops' consecration of the nation to the Sacred Heart. The resolution praises Christ, affirms the value of Catholic acts of devotion, and rejects “the exaltation of pride, self-idolatry, and rebellion against God.”

POPE LEO PREACHES POWERFULLY TO MIGRANTS IN SPAIN

Pope Leo XIV concluded his apostolic journey to Spain with reflections on the Sacred Heart and a powerful homily on immigration, human trafficking, and charity. He warned those who traffic migrants to "repent" before "it is too late" for them to enter Heaven. He also admonished both migrants and their adoptive countries: “Those who arrive learn to inhabit a new land, and those who welcome them learn to expand their own homes without diluting their identity or closing their hearts to the encounter.”
