Benedictine College shares collection of Catholic memes
A Catholic college’s media center has shared a collection of memes and hilarious posts to bring levity back to newsfeeds after a stressful week.

Following a week of monumental events in the Catholic Church and political upheaval in the US, a Catholic college’s media center has shared a collection of memes and hilarious posts to bring levity back to newsfeeds.
The editorial staff at Benedictine College’s Center for Media and Culture started its Sept. 13 weekly recap by sharing fun facts about canonizations, especially in light of the Sept. 7 double canonization of Saints Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis.

The staff also highlighted Pope Leo’s 70th birthday, which the Pontiff celebrated Sept. 14. Pivoting away from Church news, the weekly recap then headed straight into Christian memes.

Interspersed between lighthearted content, the staff inserted motivational and spiritual quotes.

And it wouldn’t be content from a Catholic college if at least one Lord of the Rings reference wasn’t included.

The editorial staff wrapped up the weekly recap with a pro-life meme and with a celebration of the world’s most premature baby, who was born in 2024 at 21 weeks and celebrated his first birthday in July.
