Charlie Kirk public memorial service set for Sept 21 in Arizona

Turning Point USA announced that it will hold a public memorial for Charlie Kirk Sept. 21 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, to pay tribute to his life and legacy.

“Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American Legend,” the organization Kirk founded when he was 18 stated on X.

Turning Point directed interested persons to learn more about the memorial on the website called FightForCharlie.

“Charlie’s life was short, but it was full,” the tribute on the Fight For Charlie webpage states. “It was defined by truth, anchored in faith, and devoted to the country he loved. His legacy will endure for generations.”

The doors open at 8 a.m., and the program begins at 11 a.m. Attendees are asked to register here

NBC News reported Sept. 15 that President Donald Trump said he will attend the memorial.

“It was a very sad weekend, in the sense that we lost a great person,” he told reporters in New Jersey Sept. 14. “I’ll be going on early Sunday morning. We’re going to Arizona, take some people with us on Air Force One.”

Other information regarding attendees and program details have not yet been disclosed.

The tribute on the FightForCharlie website also acknowledged the grief weighing on the many mourning Kirk in the wake of his assassination but expressed hope at the impact his example will have for years to come.

“Charlie died doing what he loved: fighting for truth, for faith, for family, and for America,” it states. “His sacrifice will endure as a guiding light for generations. Though our hearts are heavy, we do not grieve as those without hope. Charlie’s legacy endures in his family, in Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action, and in the millions he inspired to live with conviction.”

“We honor him not only with our words, but with our actions,” the tribute adds. “We will move forward together, fighting harder, standing taller, and refusing to surrender.”

This is a developing story.
