Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage to be livestreamed this year

The third annual Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage, which will take place at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 27, is set to be livestreamed this year.

The annual pilgrimage, according to its website, includes two conferences, Benediction, Mass, confession opportunities, enrollment in the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, and a public recitation of the Rosary.

Father Austin Litke, OP, will speak about the Rosary and the virtues of faith and charity. Father Joseph-Anthony Kress, OP, will enroll participants in the Confraternity of the Rosary and offer Mass, and Father Andrew Hofer, OP, will give the homily. A press release from the organizers states, “do not miss this opportunity to hear some of the best preaching in the Church today."

The pilgrimage officially began Jan. 25 with a nine-month Rosary novena. The faithful have prayed the novena prayer on the last Saturday of every month since. However, those interested can join in on the novena at any time.

While participants are not required to sign up to attend the pilgrimage in the nation’s capital, the Dominicans encourage signing up beforehand.

As CatholicVote reported in July, the event will also include a live performance by the Hillbilly Thomists, a bluegrass band composed of Dominican friars.
