The Archdiocese of San Francisco has published a list of health resources that offer care for the whole person in line with Catholic social teaching.
Walking With You includes parishes and local organizations that are “ready to support men, women, children, and families” and offers “care that respects human dignity, from conception to every stage of life,” according to the website. The listed resources include prenatal care, grief counseling; free and low-cost medical clinics; aging and senior services, food, clothing, and job support; and other assistance.
One of the listed resources is Bella Primary Care, which, as CatholicVote previously reported, is the first Catholic healthcare clinic in Northern California since 2015. The clinic offers care from pregnancy to geriatric stages, including for those who are underinsured. They rely on donations, grants, and volunteers to provide care for anyone in need.
“Every patient that comes to us is a medical advocacy patient,” said Bella Director Dolores Meehan, “because every patient coming to us is coming for life-affirming care.”
